Why are Russia and China appeasing America, when America is so obviously at war with everyone? If you count Russia, Syria, Venezuela, Palestine, and Iran as part of the world, World War III has already begun, but united Allies are nowhere in sight. It's just genocide and invasions without respite. One wonders, when will Russia and China enter the direct fight? America is the invisible White Empire behind all these isolated ‘conflicts’ and they won't go gentle into that good night.

However, everyone, still gives America increasingly implausible deniability, despite them appearing on the scene of every war crime. Russia pretends that Ukraine is real and not Europe and America in a trenchcoat. China pretends that Taiwan and Japan are real and not just places to park US gunboats. Hell, even within the White Empire at large, Denmark pretends like it really owns Greenland and Canada pretends like it's a real country, and they act really aggrieved that America would aggress against them also. The pawns are acting like queens and the knights are acting like kings while Trump upends the whole chessboard.

Everyone pretends like the Empire isn't just nakedly aggressive, when we all know that its new clothes are just a raging hard-on for war and nothing else. Everybody pretends like America doesn't really mean what it says and isn't really doing what it's doing but really, c'mon. However, no one (besides beggar bloggers like me, holding cardboard signs on the side of the internet) says anything because that would make it real, and nobody wants that. As bad as things are, open war is even worse. So World War III remains an open secret, for now. My question is not what is happening, which I know. My question is why, which I've had to think about.

The basic point, which America has held up at gunpoint, is that other countries should not be intervening in distant dramas at all. It is in fact cruel and unusual that America got involved with Vietnam, Korea, Afghanistan, or anywhere else on Earth, not to mention their own genocided continent. China or Russia doing the same thing would violate the basic principles of the UN Charter, which they actually try to uphold. It's just a bit difficult when there's a rogue superpower pointing guns at the whole world. As Niemoller said, first they came for the communists, and so on, until there was no one left to do anything.

However, today China's communists are the industrial superpower insulated from war (America's enviable position into World War II) and Russia's whateverists have reindustrialized and rebuilt the Red Army. America cannot directly hit its real enemies and must pick on children and poor fishermen, petulantly. And both sides have an interest in maintaining this charade, because Russia and China like not being directly hit. America cannot strategically take Asia which is why they make all these strategic mistakes, trying to cover their long retreat.

And as Napoleon said, apocryphally, “never interfere with your enemy when he is making a mistake.” To look at it cynically but strategically, genociding Gaza, Nazifying Ukraine, and decapitating Venezuela are cynical, strategic mistakes. America is wasting bullets on babies, bluster on a lost cause, and reputation on retardation. They have destroyed any compliance of the ‘free world’ with the oppression of Gaza, are destroying the white-supremacist NATO alliance with internal threats on 'Denmark', and are distracted by violence on Venezuela. All of these tragic terrors are nonetheless strategic errors and in this sense, why would China and Russia do anything?

As Napoleon said less apocryphally, “When the enemy is making a false movement we must take good care not to interrupt him.” America's feint to the Middle East takes them away from Russia, their haint Ukraine draws them away from China, and Venezuela takes them away from Asia entirely. Logically, albeit tragically, World War III is following the pattern of World War II. The Germans were genociding and invading for a long time, but the great powers only entered the war when they were directly threatened. Like Nazi Germany, the Naci Americans just can't help themselves. They will surely attack Russia and/or China directly when they can, or when Trump just feels like pressing a shiny button, but until then, why help them? Perhaps this is why China and Russia still appease America, even while America pisses on them. I really wish they would join the fray, but realpolitically, I can understand why they stay away.
