Trump's AI Psychosis (Or Is It Genius?)
If you have a look through Donald Trump's Truth Social feed (don't), it looks like the dude has full-blown AI psychosis. Here's a few examples, chosen at, effectively, random.

Here he is hyping up an autism/vaccine connection using an obviously AI generated infographic (the cart only has three wheels). But let's not put the cart before the horseshit.
This infographic contains its own debunking, which is just so complicated most people would miss it. It says that 'no published case has explicitly documented an unvaccinated Amish child with autism.' The actual context is that this was a conference paper that never published the data at all. They found 7 autistic kids in some communities, and also asked their vaccination status, but never published any tables to let anyone correlate the two. It's like I did a study on sunny days and diarhhea, and only reported that 7 people had diarhhea and nothing else. Then I guess the President can say 'no studies have explictly shown a sunny day without diarrhea' and that's facts.

Trump here is reporting an absence of data as proof, but unwinding the truth is much more complicated than just taking his falsehood and running with it. I won't even get to the underlying issue. Americans notoriously deflect their distrust of their government and leaders to abstractions (vaccines, Flock cameras, data centers) which they are encouraged to debate endlessly. The problem is not things but the corrupt class wielding these things, with the mad king Trump chief among them. And now add AI psychosis to the mix. Americans should try to discover 'I' first.
Trump, of course, was a kook well before AI (see the Central Park Five, or Obama's birth certificate), but he used to have to write to the newspapers or go on TV. Now he (or his aides) can format crackpottery and publish it instantly, under the authority of the US government. There was once a filter on this horseshit, but now it streams out endlessly.

In another example, here's Trump using AI to show 'Kharg Island being blown to smithereens!!!' This was as Trump was actually bombing Larak Island (martyring two brave Iranians) and again it's ambiguously vague what's happening here. Is it a threat to bomb Kharg later, or a brag about bombing Larak island now? It it was about Larak, the US military would have footage and it's embarassing that the President is AI. But if it is a threat, then it's only internally incoherent, with Kharg seeming to bomb itself.
Wait a minute... I'm actually starting to wonder if this is AI psychosis or genius. He really knows the American audience, who are idiots. The ambiguity about what he means is to his benefit, and – like spammers who leave mispellings in to weed out the intelligent – Trump's idiocy may be reaching exactly who's intended.

In another example, Trump trols Canada by releasing a video of Canada geese with assault rifles and Trump toupees. It's just dumb, but I'm beginning to think this is smart. Trump genuinely seems to understand the tacky art of artificial intelligence, and is an early master of the form. He's like the Renoir of retardation.
So is this AI psychosis or genius? At one level, it's doubtful Trump is a sophisticated consumer of media, he seems to be the median uncle getting personally one-shotted by AI content. At the same time, however, it's indubitable that Trump is a god-tier producer of content, and he's pointing the shotgun at even stupider people and blasting it. From the 80s to his 80s, he gets the zeitgeist which in this day and age is AI psychosis.
