The New Dahiyeh Doctrine: Retaliation

I’ll be live on Resistance Is Fertile/@indications (podcast) in 15 minutes to discuss this piece and other pieces de resistance. That’s at 19:00 IST, 9:30 EST.

One cannot step in the same river twice. Three years after the Al Aqsa Flood, ‘Israel’ cannot just sally forth to Beirut when they want to take five from Hezbollah. The river has changed its course, and the region is not riven against itself anymore. Thus when ‘Israel bombs Daniyeh in north Lebanon, it gets an answer from Iran in the east, Yemen in the south, and crickets from the West which is honestly fed up with its bullshit.

666 has been the number of the Middle East for a long time. As Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said in 1992, “America will remain the nation’s chief enemy and the greatest Satan of all. Israel will always be for us a cancerous growth that needs to be eradicated, and an artificial entity that should be removed, even if all the rulers [of the world] recognize it.” Now more and more people can recognize the vision that Nasrallah fought and died for.

For many years, ceasefires with the White Empire have been empty words, you cease and we fire, but not no more. As when America violated before, on the night of June 7th (2026), ‘Israel’ ate its empty words in the form of missiles. As Iran’s Speaker MB Ghalibaf said, “We seize concessions not through dialogue, but with missiles; in negotiations, we merely make them understand.”

The New Security Architecture

On June 7, 2026, ‘Israel’ attacked apartments in the Dahiyeh (or Dahieh) suburb of Beirut. In their own words, this was just terrorism. As their Channel 14 said,

The current tension comes after the Israeli Air Force struck the Dahieh neighborhood in southern Beirut shortly after 3:00 p.m. A fighter jet targeted a Hezbollah terror headquarters that was not manned by senior operatives at the time.

According to Israeli intelligence sources, the strike’s purpose was more psychological and public than operational. They claim the target was chosen for its location in the heart of Hezbollah’s Dahieh stronghold, rather than for its operational importance, as part of a message designed to address public criticism and maintain Israeli deterrence.

This is the Dahiyeh Doctrine, so oft repeated that it’s a doctrine. They periodically just bomb this Shia suburb. This is ‘Israel’s’ traditional insecurity architecture, when they’re losing to men in the field, they take it out on innocents. This is done in order to terrorize the natives, as well as to placate the bloody-minded Jews at (stolen) home.

The usual response to this is, not much. While Hezbollah can beat ‘Israel’ in guerrilla warfare in Southern Lebanon, they cannot impose like-for-like deterrence on the occupiers of Palestine. And Iran, which militarily could, politically couldn’t. The Islamic Republic of Iran is accountable to Iranians, and they did not want to bring war home. But now, the war has already been brung. So now it’s on.

This is the moment the martyr leader of Hezbollah Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was talking about in 1992. He said,

The resistance has another aim—namely, to awaken the region’s masses. This means that the resistance has two interim objectives: the first is to keep the enemy bleeding through guerrilla warfare against its military patrols and positions, and to cover its entire body with wounds; the other is to awaken the masses.

This is precisely what happened. Hezbollah has been bleeding ‘Israel’ daily in the south, in the FPV battles especially, and when ‘Israel’ tried to compensate by bombing apartments they suddenly found themselves facing the awakened masses of the entire region. This is that long-awaited day, when the Unity of the Fields becomes powerful.

As Nasrallah said, again 34 years ago, seeming to describe the danse macabre today, between negotiations and bombs, “We are counting on the day when the will of the people is manifest to all. In my estimation, a war of attrition rather than a classical war is liable to destroy the Zionist entity; this war might be ongoing even while negotiations are underway, or reconciliation is in the offing.” Ain’t it so, just as he called it? God, I wish he were here to see it, but he’s with God now. You can see how deep the strategic thinking is behind what the news parses as mere tactics.

The Lebanon/Iran Axis

If you’re asking—as Iranians surely should be asking—how Lebanon and Iran are connected, it is as Nasrallah said in 1986. He said, “We consider all borders throughout the Muslim world as fake and colonialist, and therefore doomed to disappear. We do not believe in a nation whose borders are 10,452 square kilometers in Lebanon; our project foresees Lebanon as part of the political map of an Islamic world in which specificities would cease to exist, but in which the rights, freedom, and dignity of minorities within it are guaranteed.”

You can see the fake colonialist borders drawn around the Muslim World now disappearing. The Ramadan War exposed all the Gulf Apostates—Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain—as false flags, waving in the wind like a spider’s web that’s been cut. They were really part of Greater Israel already and Iran simply ignored their sovereignty because they have none. The Gulf Apostates were just military bases for the White Empire and were treated as such.

Now what’s happening is that the will of the people, including the people in those occupied territories, is becoming apparent. And the connection between places like Lebanon and Iran, which is ancient, is being drawn with modern weapons. This didn’t happen before largely because the collective consciousness hadn’t awakened before. While the Islamic Republic of Iran always supported the Axis of Resistance, the people of Iran (as we all do) cared about their daily existence. But now, by the Empire’s own hand, this war has become existential for them also and they have been out in the streets for 100 days now. They are protesting for their ‘regime’ to go hard, and they have not gone home.

Now the streets themselves have called for support of Lebanon, the fronts are truly joined. If Iran didn’t strike ‘Israel’ now, hearts at home would burn. Don’t take my word for it. Just look at them.

As lawyer Helyeh Doutaghi reports, There has been a noticeable intensification of demands in response to escalating violence against Lebanon over the past week in the streets of Iran. Many carry Hezbollah flags and have been calling for action. In this, pressure emanating from the popular base of the revolution has significantly shaped the posture of the armed forces, particularly amid internal tensions among differing political factions, including reformist elements within Iran. The pics taken over the past several nights [follow].”

Remember that the Iranian people have been in the streets every night since the martyrdom of Khamenei the Elder protesting for ‘the regime’. The previous security architecture was such that Iran helping Lebanon directly could fracture it within, but now it is the vassals of White Empire that are cracking under internal tensions. Meanwhile Iran is unified around winning this thing. Just hear the people cheering as the missiles fly overhead.

We now see the shape of a new security architecture, planned not by the Great Satan and its devils (who ‘spread corruption in the land and call it peace’), but by men of God, literally. Hezbollah (the party of God), Ansarallah (supporters of God), Hamas (an acronym for Islamic Resistance Movement), and the Islamic Republic of Iran are imposing deterrence not just on ‘Israel’ but on the White Empire entirely. They are facing the final boss of colonialism, and bossing them around for once.

The Implications

This day’s response to ‘Israel’s’ violation was not particularly big—my wife just flew through it via Qatar—but the implications are enormous. Iran launched multiple missiles at ‘Israel’, and Yemen joined the fray hitting both ‘Israel’ and Saudi Arabia (reportedly), and even Gaza joined in the rocket fire (again, reportedly, still fog of war). As Hazem Qassem, spokesman for Hamas in Gaza said, via Mujamma Haraket, “Iran’s response to the ‘Israeli’ occupation’s rampage against the brotherly Lebanese people is an embodiment of the genuine solidarity that ought to exist among the members of the Umma.”

This is the history being made amidst the news. As Helyeh Doutaghi puts it, “Tonight is the result of two developments: the regional balance of force has shifted in a decisive manner, prompting Iran, for the first time ever, to carry military campaign in defence of its allies.” The alliance of the wicked was broken in the Battle of Hormuz and it’s a new battlefield now, one where the Resistance is united and the occupation is divided.

I repeat what gets whitewashed out in the news cycle, that Iran emptied the US bases in the Persian Gulf and exposed the Gulf Apostates as worthless. They have taken the Strait of Hormuz and scattered the US Fifth Fleet forevermore, sending CENTCOM, effectively, back to Tampa, Florida. The US Navy was already defeated in the Red Sea, but because they didn’t get the point, Yemen has now (as part of this Dahiyeh response) closed the Red Sea to “Israeli vessels and those who are affiliated with the Zionist regime.”

This is a big response if you measure it not in the language of the colonizers (dead bodies and ruined buildings) but by the language of resistance (unity and military targets). There is a new security architecture not based around Jewish insecurity but on the legitimate security concerns of the native population. To not be blown up in their apartments with nothing being done about it. And for the first time in a long colonial history, there’s nothing the Empire can do about it. This is not an anti-colonial war, which the Empire has lost before, but an anti-imperial war (hat-tip Justin Podur). The Empire is not just losing Iran (which it never had in the first place), it is getting pushed back further and further. Iran’s demands now include ceasefire in Lebanon, and if the Empire violates as they’re accustomed to, they get violence back in even greater measure. It’s a brave new Muslim World.

Long ago, Sykes and Picot drew lines all across this deeply connected region and Lord Balfour and Rothschild created a Jewish ghetto there to keep it divided and conquered. That’s all breaking up now. As Nasrallah said, “Experience has shown us that red blood is capable of obliterating red lines, and if the nation chooses to follow this path, Israel and America will find that they are incapable of changing anything in the equation.”

That’s where we’re at now. Yes, ‘Israel’ can still attack Lebanon, yes they can still cut off food to Gaza (as they have just done) but no, they cannot do this without great retaliation. The Empire used to being a historical arsonist finds itself burning too, and this they are not used to. But they better get used to it. This is the new Dahiyeh doctrine. Hit Dahiyeh, and get hit too.
