A military is like an ouroboros, a snake eating its own tail. It must replenish itself faster than it destroys itself, or fail. Today Iran and Russia are depleting US matériel. And China is preventing it from replenishing minerals. The funny thing is that none of these nations is even trying to destroy America, they're just defending themselves. America worst enemy is itself. The ouro is burrowing into its own ass. The death machine is in a death spiral.

Take for example, the Tomahawk missile that US military used to target and kill 168 school children in Minab, among other war crimes. This sort of stand-off missile has become vital since they can't set foot in Iran. Each Tomahawk requires specific rare earth elements, like all, samarium, dysprosium, and terbium. I highlight those for a reason, they'll be on the final. Other smart missiles like HIMARS, JASSM, and Patriot Interceptors need the same stuff. Anything that maneuvers needs magnets (and other magic) and those magnets need this special dust. But where does 90% of this dust come from? China, which America is also pissing off. Oops.

You can see the pincer that America, as its own worst enemy, has got itself into. It has picked two fights, at once, with people with excellent or good enough air defenses to negate dumb bombs. America cannot just drop its Soviet-era stock on poor people like they're used to. They have to murder people from afar, expending smart missiles, and they have to defend themselves from even smarter missiles, expending interceptors at a many-to-1 ratio. This rapidly returns precious rare earths to the earth, where they cannot be recovered. And this is just one side of the pincer.

On the other side, the supply tail wrapped around Asia, they simply cannot replace these weapons at a basic minerals level. Let's leave aside America's inability to manufacture much more than 50 Tomahawks annually, do they even have the raw materials? On the one hand, America has been progressively banning itself from using Chinese suppliers. And on the other hand, China has been progressively banning the US from the same stuff.

As the US Geological Survey reports under Events, Trends, and Issues:

In April 2025, China tightened its export controls on rare-earth elements, adding specific controls on alloys, compounds, metals, and oxides of samarium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, lutetium, scandium, and yttrium. In October, China expanded its rare-earths export controls to include europium, holmium, erbium, thulium, and ytterbium. In November, China suspended the October export controls for 1 year. The April export controls remained in effect, although China began to issue general export licenses to selected exporters.

Let's cross-reference that with the ingredients required to make an infernal Tomahawk (a genocided name for more genocidal warfare). Everything on the list except neodymium is under export controls, but "neodymium magnets are still impacted, as the restricted products include neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) magnets that contain terbium." In American terms, they simply do not have the 'right stuff'. And all their announcements of more production are bluffs.

Strategically, America has long known that they have a deep dependence on China for raw materials (see this 2023 report). However, they could not muster the strategic thought to maybe not piss everybody off in Asia all at once. In its headless rush through its world domination bucket-list, America has A) fought Russia and Iran at the same time, massively depleting stocks and B) started a trade war with China, making replenishment impossible. Even Hitler got his sequencing better in World War II. Instead of Molotov-Ribbentrop, America has thrown a Molotov cocktail into its own supply chain. It's World War III repeating as farce.

To stick just to Tomahawks, as an example, the United States and Raytheon have agreed to increase production to over 1,000 per year but this is really just announcing corruption, not production. Even if they had the raw materials, which they don't, they don't have the manufacturing capacity anymore. As an example, General Dynamics took $533 million to build much more basic artillery shells and delivered none. And still got more contracts afterwards! These guys are just announcing fraud, not production. They're going to remodel some kitchens in Bethesda and do nothing on the battlefield.

We've only described one missile here, which has a kilo or so of this stuff. Things like F-35s and warships require hundreds or thousands of kilos. This is really the last generation of these machines. Something like the FPS-132 radar blown to smithereens in Qatar is never coming back. Even if they could control the land, they can't get the earth.

People still talk about the dollar cost of replacing this or that weapons system and it's like talking about Monopoly money in the real world. It's like trying to buy a Ferrari with Chuck E. Cheese tokens. The monopoly is over, the franchise is bankrupt. Either the US is sanctioning their own supplier or the supplier is sanctioning them. It doesn't matter how much something costs if you're not buying and the seller isn't selling. What are we even talking about?

Meanwhile China is supplying Russia, China is supplying Iran (even helping them learn rare earth processing), and all of these countries have functioning industrial sectors. The US has thrown most of Asia together while throwing themselves out of the equation. It's an accelerating spiral, the US military getting systematically chewed up and spit out in a multi-front war across Asia and being unable to replenish itself without supplies from the same continent. Yes, they're making a lot of sound and epic fury, but it's important to understand that this is the last gasp of White Empire. A snake biting its own ass.
