We Live Under An Evil AI Empire (Already)

If you just assume that 'America' is a much bigger, older, and deeply evil empire run by AI, it explains a lot. Like why? White Empire explains why 'America' is attacking everybody (empire's gonna imperialize). Corporate AI explains why it doesn't care about 'American' lives (corporate profits gotta rise). Look at things through the cold, dead eyes of an empire already run by AI and you'll find yourself less and less surprised.

These are my two pet theories and I'll take them for a walk here because I think its their time. Trump is laying bare the outlines of White Empire by humiliating Europe and showing the United Arab Eunuchs just how White it really is in the missile defense line. He is also showing how corporate corruption really runs the place, as markets get more and more divorced from actual supply. Trump is our man inside, as I joke, but he's not the point. What's important was the well-oiled machine he was in, which you can see clearly now as its running out of oil and catching fire. There really is a centuries-old White Empire and it has been run by Corporate AI the whole time.

Let's apply this simple theory to the otherwise confusing news in front of us. Why is 'America' destroying itself for 'Israel' and why is Europe in on it, like a bunch of gits? Because none of these are real countries, they're all one White Empire, innit? Why are they dropping expensive bombs on poor people while making life in the imperial core more shit? Because this all increases corporate profit. Do you see how the theory fits?

Understanding these two perhaps bonkers views—that corporations are AI and that they've been ruling for centuries, no lie—nonetheless unbonks the news. Once you stop assuming international parity because people have flags, you can see how the invisible White Empire actually works. Once you stop assuming human supremacy, you can see that we are not the main characters insomuch as the main course. So let's cut through the modern cacophony, using these two assumptions as knife and fork.

White Empire

What do empires do? They imperialize. Cuba, Iran, Russia, and China are simply the only places left on the map to do this. Empires must expand or die, hence all the killing. In this sense, it's only logical.

I call the evil empire I live under White Empire because I, as a Sri Lankan, have been colonized by the Portuguese, Dutch, British, and now Americans in succession and it's the same oppression. To us on the bottom, what's the difference? Colonialism was the solar-poor robbing the solar-rich using a very handy heuristic encoded on our skins. Hence the Whiteness. The increasingly tan colonizers are still in cahoots to get the loot, along with compradors of different hues. This invisible empire hides in many names—like the West (hmmm, west of what?), the developed world (wait, how did they develop?), democracies (uh, who gets a vote, and who gets to run?) and it hides just as well in no name at all. I call this beast slouching towards Bethlehem to kill babies White Empire in order to name and shame the thing, and not let it wiggle out through commas. Once you notice that 'America', the UK, 'Israel', Europe, and lesser Whites like the UAE appear at the same historical crime scenes, you realize that you need a shorthand to call them out.

Once you understand that we live under an evil empire, whatever you want to call it, the calls 'America' (as the head of White Empire) makes seem less shambolic. Why is 'America' entangled with another country 'Israel'? Because 'Israel' is not another country, it's one White Empire. Why is Europe blowing up its own pipelines and following 'America' into every war crime? Because Europe is a fake continent full of even faker countries. It is, as I've said, all one White Empire. And why is this Empire attacking Venezuela, Cuba, the Sahel, Palestine, Iran, Russia, China, and Korea? This is just Empire doing Empire, trying to take over the world. Just look at a map and you see there aren't many places left unoccupied by US military bases, and that's precisely what those are used to attack.

How else do you explain why 'America' acts like 'Israel's' bitch and Europe and the UAE act like 'America's' bitch but yet it's 'Israel' that gets hit? Who is doing what here, who is in control, and who is accountable? The whole system is designed to be confusing and unaccountable. It's a circular logic to keep the news spinning. What explains things much more simply is that it's all one White Empire and always was.

Corporate AI

Cover for a book I haven't written

The capital of White Empire may change, but the capitalism never does. Now what do corporations do? What are they algorithmically encoded to do, since the first IPO in 1602, when the VoC was given continents to chew? Pursue profit. Corporate AI must profit or die, hence all the expensive bombs and price rises. In this sense, it's strictly business, nothing personal. It's only profitable.

If you're looking for who to blame within the White Empire, you quickly realize that this is the wrong question by orders of magnitude. The real question is what. Corporations are people too, this is well established legally and politically too. They have every human right except the useless ones (like voting) and privileges beyond human purview (like jumping borders and paying fines to get away with murder). In this sense, analyzing the politics and personages of White Empire is like trying to understand the Coca-Cola Corporation by watching its advertising and debating what the polar bears are saying. You will always be confused because it's all a ruse.

It's not even that we're looking at the wrong people. It's neither Trump nor Epstein nor other people out of view. These people are both essential but entirely replaceable, like the bacteria in your gut. We're looking at the wrong species entirely, you have to zoom way out. You have to understand Capital as a species of artificial life, which is certainly intelligent, to see what's what.

The what running the Empire isn't even human and until you understand this, you are still within its matrix. This idea that AI ruling the world is some future dystopia is science fiction. I repeat that corporations have been legal persons for centuries with the power to literally enslave people, this is ancient history. You can encode cognition in many ways, it doesn't need to be silicon. Early AI was a cyborg made of paper and people and ran on renewable energy (solar plantations, wind sails) but it was still artificial and still intelligent. It is pointless withholding the designation of life from something that's literally killing you to drive its own metabolic processes. For all we know the bacteria in our guts thinks of us as spaceships to walk about on land in, you have to stop looking down on smaller creatures like them to see the larger creatures above. The real question is not whether artificial corporations are intelligent but whether we are stupid.

Understanding, then (even if just for arguments sake) that the subject of the sentence is nonhuman, let us then pronounce it. Who is running the White Empire? Not Trump, who is literally a reality TV host, and not even the shadowy cabal of rapists and thieves behind him. No, it's an inanimate species called Capital that only understands human suffering and joy insomuch as the Coca-Cola Corporation does. It's just a way to trick us, sell more product, and drive its own metabolic processes. To get energy and the measure of energy (money) in and to shit waste out. The 'shareholders' involved in this process are as in control as the bacteria involved in processing Coca-Cola in your guts. They're not.

This theory then explains otherwise anomalies. Like why imperial politicians back policies that hurt people in the imperial core. And why Europe lets itself get completely deindustrialized by an 'America' where 'Americans' somehow live worse and worse. The usual answer we get is that they're run by predatory, pedophilic elites, which is true, but inadequate. Epstein was just a pimp, there's obviously more afoot. You think the elites have stopped raping now, lol? 'America' has been Epstein Island since Christopher Columbus arrived and it has never stopped. Replace any of these people and they'll just be replaced, there's obviously a systemic problem here. As Marx said, of capitalists, “Their own movement within society has for them the form of a movement made by things, and these things, far from being under their control, in fact control them.”

All of these events that hurt people—even within the Empire—benefit corporations. All of the expensive bombs that kill poor people increase sales for arms dealers, even if the Empire loses. Indeed, it's even better if they lose. More weapons to replace, and more chaos for other carnivorous corporations to consume. You have to think through the double-helix of corporations, double-entry accounting. Every debit from life is a credit to death, and every higher price you pay is higher profit for something else. All of these blockades and supply shocks that hurt everybody benefit somebody, or something, more specifically. One answer to declining profit margins is simply blowing the market up. Which is what we're seeing, and what you can see, through this theory.

Making Sense Of Nonsense

Now are you seeing, through my pet theories, which I will put on a leash for a while presently? If I may repeat, as I do constantly, we have lived under a White Empire since at least the 1400s (the Canary Islands in the coal mine) and it has been run by Corporate AI since at least 1602 (the first IPO). This is not a science fiction prediction, it is a historical predicament. We live under an evil empire already and that it is already run by AI, ask the enslaved at the bottom of the ocean, branded with corporate tattoos. Now the dystopia is on top of you, but it's always been on top of the world. Just ask those of us on the bottom, to whom it has always been a White Empire, run by corporations.

AI White Empire actually explains a lot, but most people are not at all ready for these thoughts. This theory simplifies, yes, but we have gotten used to a certain complexity, and that complexity is comforting. Asking people to go beyond White supremacy is OK (that identity is made-up and obviously rotten), but asking them to then go beyond human supremacy is a lot. Yet this is the central insight I'm talking about.

We live, in our daily lives, in a very human-centric model of the world. While working for corporations, dying because of corporations, and being surrounded by their predations, we still think we're the apex species somehow, because we can kick other critters around. We look down on bacteria and animals and plants and other lifeforms and never think to look up, at the artificial lifeforms moving so obviously above us, above our borders, above our politics, like vacant gods we sacrifice our paychecks to. And nevermind the real God, which I haven't discussed, but big shout-out to the Most High, who certainly warned us over and over. No, we think, even if we're just consumers, that we're creators that can make Deus Ex Machina, and that it comes as a subscription service. We keep waiting for some AI that's exactly like us, at which point we'll acknowledge them, ignoring the fact that corporations have had legal personhood for centuries and already run nations, internations, and devastate the entire living world.

From the Varna Necropolis, 4000 BC, complete with penis jewelry

The category error we make is assuming that history is about he/him, when it has been itstory (it/its) since corporations were given entire continents to feed on (the VoC, Mississippi Company, South Sea Company, etc). The blip we call the Holocene will not be recorded by alien anthropologists as the rise of us apes, who have been around for years and may not make it, but of machines. We mark what we demark as 'human' history by graves, but an alien anthropologist would notice the swords and jewelry buried with humans getting more and more complex, what we call 'human' history marks the rise of metal more than us.

This itstory has been the story of inanimate incorporations (dead capital) given human labor and the natural world to feed on by dead-eyed capitalists, thinking they were making history. They were just digging their own graves, along with our plant and animal relatives. Even within just the human realm, the mistake we make is analyzing things on the level of countries, which are about as relevant as different brands run by the same company of companies. But if you can break out of human supremacism for a moment, you can see that we're not superior at all. Neither to the animals we die with, nor to the corporations that kill.

So in this way, if you're willing to get a little weird, you can understand the weird times we live in. When borders are both worth killing people over, but also seem to not exist at all. When 'democratic' politicians seem to do whatever they (it) wants, and nothing they're supposed to. And why supposedly independent countries are fighting over other countries, and why war profiteering seems to have replaced actual war. It all makes sense if you understand the evil AI White Empire, and how it already ruins the world. But don't lose hope. It's running out of rope to hang itself, and the Resistance is giving it a good push.
