How To Follow The Iran-'Israel' War
These are some sources to follow the Iran-'Israel' War. These are my sources, I'm not saying they're the best ones, but you can use them as a starting point to assemble your own. As you must have noticed from the genocide, all mainstream news sources are corrupt or complicit and cannot be relied upon. Even Al-Jazeera (in Qatar) is right next to a US military base, both metaphorically and literally. You have to roll your own.
Before we get started, however, note that if you live or want to travel within the White Empire (America, Europe, collaborators, what's the difference) this is dangerous information. Simply having this information makes you look like a terrorists to terrorists, who are scared of the truth above all. They can simply steal and copy your phone and no amount of ‘security’ can protect you, they just force you to unlock it. Also note that France did this with the entire Telegram platform, when they abducted its founder Pavel Durov. So don't do this if you're risk-averse, and do not travel with the phone or devices you do it on.
With that in mind, here's how I follow the Iran-'Israeli' war, which is the same as I've been following the general Palestinian Liberation War for, sadly, years now.
Telegram
Telegram is a messaging platform. It's not encrypted, it's not ‘built for security’, which is a meaningless concept when you're under arrest in an airport (you're always under arrest in an airport, they just let most people out). For whatever reason the Resistance and all sorts of non-imperial people (and assorted unsavory types) use Telegram. It's a good news resource, but you have to mute everything because it's a lot.
You can download Telegram as an app, or use the web version. What you can follow on the apps is censored based on where you are, but the web is relatively not. Accounts to follow are:
- Resistance News Network (RNN): @PalestineResist/@RNN_Backup
RNN is the best overall source, effectively CNN except not evil. They cover it Iran War coincidentally, as they've been covering the Palestinian War all along. - Fotros Resistance (AryJeay): @FotrosResistancee
Fotros is a source (literally a person) in Iran. They sometimes take breaks for exams, or because their screen time is too high. Fotros might get a bit ahead of the news sometimes (they report that three F-35s have been downed, for example), but they give you a sense (and sources) from inside Iran. This is actually my first source for this particular war. Ary is on Twitter as well. - Middle East Spectator: @Middle_East_Spectator
I actually don't follow MES, though I forget why not. They're actually the biggest out of all of these. They cover Middle East news in general, but not from a western perspective. For the Iran War they share a lot of video and sources from within 'Israel' itself.
These accounts are all, to some degree, meta accounts, they themselves have a lot of (most Telegram) sources that they select from and share. I spent a lot of time and energy years ago collecting and winnowing down these sources but they're not exhaustive, you can use them as a starting point to roll your own.
Also, again, please consider Telegram compromised and compromising, especially if you're using it on your phone. Basically, if you're going through White Empire, travel with a (blank) white phone. If your risk tolerance is low then basically just don't follow these people, or me really.
Twitter (or X) is a relatively uncensored platform from within White Empire. I attribute this not so much to beneficence of Elon Musk as much as his neglect, they fired much of the 'content moderation' team and that work basically just doesn't happen. Here are some accounts to follow:
- Ayatollah Khamenei: Iran's Supreme Leader is a great philosopher and a great leader, they're lucky to have him. This is his official account and has very candid comments (mostly from speeches and official comms) and verified information. Note that there are no official Iran military accounts, those are fakes and unreliable.
- Yayha Saree: Yahya Saree is the military spokesman of Yemen and a bonafide hero. You have to hit translate on a lot of stuff, but they started doing the press releases in English.
- Ahmed Hassan: Like AryJeay, Ahmed is a dude in Yemen, I feel like I know him but I don't. Honestly, this is somewhat random, but I consider him an honest and informed source.
- Omar Hamad: In the same way, Omar is someone I know in Gaza. Or at least I feel like I know him. He's a great writer and a poet.
- Alon Mizrahi: Alon is a former 'Israeli' who suitable hates 'Israel' and is a good source especially on their mindset.
- Unity of Fields: Unity of Fields is a militant organization within the White Empire which is recommended by the fact that it's mostly banned there.
These accounts are not exhaustive or particularly curated, they're just who I follow. You can start there, or follow me (@indica).
Websites
On the web, you can follow the Iranian press agency (presstv.ir), or Al Mayadeen, which is like a less compromat Al Jazeera. For video and most purposes Al Jazeera is fine and certainly better than any western sources, but Qatar is still occupied, has its own pre-occupations, and is not free.
Starting Points
As mentioned, these are all starting points. Each source has its own sources and you can look around from there. Also, as a final warning, if you're deep within the White Empire or travelling, this is all effectively illegal information, in the sense that they are lawless states that don't care and which can deport, disappear, or make your life miserable and do, somewhat randomly. So caveat emptor with this information, and beware the emperor.
