At one point it would have been farcical that I'd be banned from America for speech. But now my family just laughs about it. That's how deep the fascism has seeped, we laugh when we should weep. As I've said, collapse is just a series of ordinary days between extraordinary bullshit, most of it happening to someone else.

You just go on with it hoping the shattered phone will resurrect itself, though it leaves increasingly painful shards of glass in your ear every day. This is life, of course, on the margins, where you hear about the bombs, and do not feel the shock waves through your children's tender bodies. But this is happening, of course, every day. We are in the middle of the full-blown genocide and world war and we carry on like nothing's happening as much as we can. All across the White Empire (spoiler alert, if you're not being attacked, you're in it).

As a Sri Lankan I don't need to go to America, as much as the White Empire wants to world police this far afield. But the speech controls are strong and I can feel them, and they still affect my life. Why? What have I done that the FBI harasses my family that does live there? Support Palestine, and particularly the Palestinian Resistance. Despite an ongoing genocide, it is illegal to actually oppose it. Palestinians are just supposed to die politely and armed resistance is still condemned in polite company. As the snitch George Orwell said, “The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” The Empire founded on genocide insists that you shut up about this genocide, it is their final, most essential command.

The Palestinian Resistance has touched a live wire. I repeat what goes unsaid, supporting Hamas (et al) is illegal within America and still shocking in polite imperial company. Petty patricians oppose genocide—of course, of course—but actually opposing genocide? That's verboten. The Pavlovian definition of Terrorism© still rings in people's ears, and most people remain loyal dogs of war. Most liberals accept that armed resistance is and should be illegal, even in the face of an extermination campaign. Just protest or vote harder, even if they shoot protestors in the knees and run an apartheid state normally. As Martin Luther King said, before he was killed and turned into a stuffed mascot by his killers, “I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action.” In short, doublespeak. As the modern saying goes, those who are in solidarity with our corpses and not our rockets are hypocrites and not of us.

We are used to this. We have gotten used to abuse. Not just of speech but of our souls entirely. The very idea that a man would fight to defend his family is considered illegal. They've gelded an entire population. It's a gilded age for a few and a gelded age for everybody else.

The common, biologically incorrect, metaphor for this particular situation is a frog being slowly boiled to death, but let's be honest. The goose is long cooked and they're just carving it up on a plate. Imperial populations are entirely pliable. As long as you give an increasingly vanishing fraction goodies, they won't resist in the least. White Empire is seeing how far they can push it, and the answer is pretty far, actually. Late-stage Empire is now the regular ritual humiliation of vassals like Europe, public debauchery and criminality of elites (what Epstein files), and a laissez (us) faire attitude about it. They raise taxes on the provinces via tariffs, stick their own plebs with the bill, and rape children cause they can't feel anything, and don't expect you to feel anything either.

The ruling elites (just stand-ins for capital) don't even attempt to lie convincingly anymore, they don't even dignify the crime with a cover-up. An Empire where Watergate was once scandal becomes an Empire where the floodgates are open and it's Watergate every Thursday. Events that would be shocking decades ago cannot rouse the corpse of the body politic anymore, that's how dead the whole delusion is. There was once a veneer of democracy over the carnivorous colonialism, but now it's just vampire fangs and bloody sleeves. As Vladimir Putin said, “there is a very strong desire in Western elites to freeze the current unjust state of affairs in international affairs. They've spent centuries filling their bellies with human flesh and their pockets with money. But they must realise that the vampire ball is ending.”

That's the dream, in the sense that most people (self included) want to sleepwalk through the whole thing and let other people do the actual fighting. Most people let the few imperial holdouts (like Russia, Iran, China, and Palestine) do the resistance for us, and often condemn them for their troubles. The people in the most comfort do the least, that seems to be the way it (generally) goes. People within the imperial core could and should overthrow their governments but they don't. People at the edges like Sri Lanka should see what's coming and go, but we remain under IMF administration (the ‘I’ stands for Imperial). As long as the vanishly few elites can dream that it's all not going away, we'll hit the snooze button a little longer. The imperial roads are full of tolls and robbers, but they're still roads I guess, though all roads lead to a rabidly collapsing Rome.

People just get used to shit. As I say, you get as much shit as you take, and people will take a lot, especially if it's being heaped on the poor. But eventually backs and empires break. Slowly enough in the news, but rapidly historically. But my endless historicization is, in itself, a cowardly cop-out, from someone doing nothing to materially impede a police state. As my FBI file (the closest I'll get to an award) states, “we don’t have any reason to believe that Indrajit has said or done anything outside the scope of protected speech. However, the fact that the tip we received indicates a support of terrorism means we must do our due diligence to assess whether this support is purely in the form of speech or if there is any material support present.” Sadly, no, still just talking, and still even travelling around the edges of White Empire, and thus still participating. I feel bad but not that bad. Things are still subjectively good enough for me, even though they're objectively horrible.

People will get used to abuses and stay with an abuser for a long time. That's the way it is personally, and politically as well. Most of the world is in an abusive relationship with White Empire—it's hate hate—but still we take it. But make no mistake. If you're not being bombed or besieged by the White Empire, you're in it. You are used to abuse from capital (the malevolent AI that actually runs the world) and being used to abuse other people. Not just the people of Gaza, not just the slaves (‘illegals’) of the Americas, not just the working people of every trading nation. No man can stare into the abyss of the daily news and not have the news stare back. No man is an island, even this islander. The ‘people’ that sold their souls to capital tax your soul also and God knows, there's hell to pay.
