Double-Entry Wound

Sometimes my cats will do some dumb shit, like jump on the stove, and I ask them "what are you doing?" But then I have to remind myself that I'm talking to a cat, which has its own motivations and information. They're not necessarily dumb (OK, the little one is), they're a different species. This is how I feel about analysis of America. People keep analyzing it as a country, but it's a different species entirely.
America is obviously not run by human beings. Witness their inhumanity to others and to themselves. America is run by Corporate AI, for lack of a better name. Treat that as a metaphor if you want, I find it pointless to deny intelligence to the artificial beings that run our lives already. AI is not something about to be invented in a lab, those are just parlor tricks. True AI, ie that possessing personhood, rights, and power has been legally recognized for centuries, and been given entire continents to predate over already. Like America.
At the founding of America, only property could vote, and the vote is now a joke. Corporations could own people then and it's no different now. Corporations have long been legal persons and they now have speech rights in America, meaning legalized corruption. Corporate AI owns the whole show and American politics is as real as American wrestling, so no. American opinions have no bearing on American policy and, anyways, American opinions are just another thing to be manufactured by corporations.
Understanding this who then makes the why clearer. What looks like suicidal behavior for a nation is very profitable for corporations. Just look at their DNA, which is not constitutional or even common sense, it's double-entry bookkeeping. The whole point of double-entry is that every account has two sides, a credit and a debit. But the media for humans only reports one side, which misses how the inanimate actors of history actually operate.
So when you look at the news, do the double-entry calculation. Note that every 'loss' the nation of America reports is a gain on the corporate side of the ledger. Try re-reading the news that way, as accounts. When the news says, "Iran war has cost Pentagon [over] $38 billion" read it the other way, "Iran war has earned over $38 billion," for the military industrial complex. When the news says US National debt is $40 trillion that's actually a credit on the other side of the ledger, corporations (and other nations) hold that debt as assets. And when you hear about America's ruinous personal debts, note that this just makes them into debt slaves for corporations, and very profitable assets. Remember that for every payment someone (more accurately, some thing) is getting paid. If you read just one side of the ledger nothing makes sense, but if you look at both sides you can see how the dollars are made.
So through this double-entry lens, let's look at the folly of American wars again. Losing wars is seemingly bad for a nation, but things are not as they seem. Losing wars are great for corporations selling war machines. Losing wars (and slowly) is, in fact, the best outcome possible. If you win a war, and quickly, where's the profit in that? But these wars that drag out, expending expensive weapons on poor people, they make incredible profits on the inhuman side of the ledger. These wars are reported to humans as the US wasting money, when it is in fact corporations tasting blood, and loving it. As current leader of Tamil Nadu Vijay said in a execrable movie that I nonetheless watched, bloody sweet.
If you understand this DNA of corporations you can understand the double-entry wound running not just through the world but through America too. And you can understand what it's doing now, which otherwise seems self-defeating and foolish. Since the first Initial Public Offering (IPO) of the VoC in 1602, the human public has been offered to corporations to bleed. All the mind-virus called capital needed was a few humans to help it reproduce, called shareholders, and they sold tonnes of flesh for a taste of the metabolic loot. This corporate White Empire was always at war with the world, but as long as enough treatlers (Hitlers for treats) got their cut, they participated and called it growth. A cancer on the planet, but their wallets got swole. And it didn't even take that many human traitors. I read the industrial history of Europe (via Marx) wanting to hate them, but life there sucked. The inhumanists called capitalists could even repress most of the population at home, it doesn't take many rotten apples to ruin the whole bunch.
This is why America isn't stopping, despite destroying the White Empire it held and even its pre-genocided home (though with ICE, the work is never done). Because America is not in control of itself, Corporate AI is. If you see things that way, then you see all the flashing signs so relevant to human (death, rising prices, declining resources) as either irrelevant or actually good. Corporations do not care about human death, rising prices are profits to them, and declining resources just mean business is booming.
If you see not like a state but like a corpor-ate you can see that you and I are on the plate, and that they do not care about our fate. They cannot perceive what our media declaims as bad, only the business pages, which are going great. They only see their artificial ecosystem (The Economy), and the corrupt humans flying by their instruments don't care either. They can't care. If any human capitalist tried to stop the gravy train they'd be replaced by someone else who'd just pile on more steam, even though they know we're heading for a cliff eventually. As Karl Marx said, in Capital, “In every stock-jobbing swindle everyone knows that some time or other the crash must come, but everyone hopes that it may fall on the head of his neighbour, after he himself has caught the shower of gold and placed it in secure hands. Après moi le déluge! is the watchword of every capitalist and of every capitalist nation.”
This is called basic 'fiduciary responsibility', which is ultimately just treason to humanity (and animality). The corporations would rather end the world than have a bad quarter, so White Empire proceeds, from disaster to disaster, calling out and finding dumber and dumber Hitlers, and committing suicide via Axis of Resistance. I think that explains why America is as it is and does as it do, because America is not who it seems, and there is no double-helix in its veins, only a double-entry wound in their brain. America is not a real country, and Americans are not relevant people. America is run by Corporate AI, and it dies as it lived. Profitably.
