Kid in a bus, Lellopitiya.
I’ve had some shitty bus rides in my life. The Badulla ride was thankfully great. We left Colombo round 11 and got to Ella round 5h30. The ride was expensive at Rs. 585 each, but the conductor didn’t overstuff the bus, the A/C worked, it smelled fine and was cool. The conductors were actually quite nice. So anyways, any bus stops for eats somewhere along the way. These are some photos from our stop, in Lellopitiya.
Law fat yogurt.
The place we stopped to eat was terrible. The only thing that wasn’t quease inducing was the Kik Cola, basically the only thing they couldn’t actively fuck up. Above is a yogurt which ‘Law Fat’. To me this means fat by law, or perhaps a visible symptom of our bloated legal system. I dunno. Tasted rancid. I ate it anyways. Honestly, the amount of dodgy stuff I put into my stomach you wouldn’t believe it. I once tried to give some cake I’d been eating to the cow and she wouldn’t touch it. Anyways.
The boners.
This is the second coolest shit I have seen today. The Rawana Liquor Restaurant is the first. This bandana has what looks to be skeletons, uh, boning on it. It is captioned ‘the boners’. I wish I coulda bought it off him but he was obviously gangster.
Semi-luxhary.
Finally, this is Imaad and his long, semi-luxharious hair. I must admit, I’m a bit jealous. I had long hair in university for a while and tried straightening it. I got rained on and it all went to frizz. Thank God this was before Facebook.
I’ve been to this pre-historic cave in Ella, called Ravana cave, where legend says Ravana hid Sita for a while. Perhaps the original Indrajit walked there too.
