#Kony2012 Narrator Suffers Breakdown

Jason Russell, the narrator of the Kony2012 video was found semi-naked and screaming at traffic after suffering a breakdown. That sucks. I think he was a decent man under a lot of pressure. Breakdowns suck and they happen to the best of us.

I didn’t fully agree with the points his organization Invisible Children made, but they changed the game and sparked an international debate. That was very cool.

I fully respect what he was doing, I thought they did it respectfully, especially dealing with critics, and hearing this news just sucks. I’m sure some people will laugh, but anyone who lives a public life is always on the edge of standing semi-naked in traffic and screaming. I fully sympathize.

I don’t think anyone anticipated the viral response to the video, and it would take a heavy toll on anybody. It appears to have left Mr. Russell, exhausted, dehydrated, suffering from malnutrition and finally broken down. I pray for a speedy recovery and some peace for his family. Tough news.
