The Raghu Dixit Project, who’s playing Saturday night in Galle.
Heading down south for the Galle Music Festival. It’s Rs. 500 bus and like Rs. 2000 for a night in Una (cheaply, communally). The Festival is free. If you’re in Colombo, Red Bull’s Chris Pfeiffer is doing some crazy motorbike stunts at Nelum Pokuna at three, WTC at five. But I think I’ll be in Galle.
I actually have little idea what the GLM is about. Music I suppose. Tomorrow’s program has music by artists from Mullaitivu, Mirissa, Bangladesh, Mannar and more. At night there’s the Raghu Dixit Project from India and Sabreen from Palestine. And local rock band Centigradz (Programme). The thing runs from 10-1 PM and 5-10h15 PM. So you have time to swim and eat some rice and curry at Mama’s.
The Expressway is still largely empty, but I’ve been taking it like once a week, on the bus. Now I’ve found a 2h30 train to Kandy, so a lot more of the country is within reach. Soon it’ll be the City of Lanka, like in Ravana’s day. Ravan willing.
Envy the amount of gallivanting about you pack in to like one week! Raghu Dixit sounds nice, though different.
Its some what the same thing they have in Jaffna last March. Wish i could have come. Im down with the flu and totally forgot about the Redbull show.
Raghu Dixit guys are really good. Love the whole concept and the look as well.
