The Colombo beach at night, from the Marine Drive train tracks.
These are two places that don’t really exist, at least in terms of light and color. These are shots on Marine Drive taken near midnight on long exposure. Ie, I put my camera on the train tracks and left the shutter open for 30 seconds, letting in like 300 times the normal amount of light. The waves and water turn into a painting and you get hyper realistic color and detail close up. This shows the ocean and the Wellawatte Canal.
The Wellawatte canal at night, from a bridge.
Did a lot of street photography around Colombo late last night. You see a lot of strange things, or see the same things strangely.
beautiful, strange but very beautiful
