Because this is not a good one.
Kottu’s been going through a lot of ch-ch-ch-ch-changes. Janith has rebuilt everything from scratch and I’ve been scratching at the surface. Every post now has chilis next to it, like a menu, so you can tell how spicy it is. By spicy we mean popular (clicks, tweets, likes). Anyways, where was I, oh yeah. Kottu needs a logo.
I tried something inspired by Kottu (chopped up Kottu roti) but it came out looking a bit too military for my tastes. See above. I am wondering if people out there can do anything better. I also don’t think there should be one Kottu logo. We can make it like Google Doodles, changing all the time, or changing for special days. Today, for example, would be a good day to commemorate Dennis Ritchie, the guy who fathered the C programming language and UNIX and was thus the godfather of modern computing. If you think that was Steve Jobs, remember that the modern Mac OS was based on UNIX, and that GNU is not UNIX.
Uh, what? Anyways, if you have any logo ideas, blog, tweet or whatever them, perhaps tagging the ideas with #kottu, or mail them to me (indi@indi.ca). The logo can say Kottu, it can say ‘kottu’ in Sinhala or Tamil, if you want do design something, feel free.

:( :( :(
Made that the logo for today. Please note that I also made a mockery of any CSS going on up there
By all means. I just slopped it in before I had to run out. Perhaps a standard image size and css for that? I had it in line with the columns below. Then we can swap other images in
I just wrapped it in the h1 tag that was there before and applied some inline css to make it display:inline
Should edit the css file properly sometime. 150 px seems like a nice size. :)
