Like this, except with a computer. Photo from his Gamin Gamata listening campaign.
People keep asking me. I’m helping Milinda Moragoda with his campaign for Mayor of Colombo. Anyways, people keep asking me if Milinda updates his own FB which, really, nobody does. But he does. He writes extended notes, thanks people, and even puts out fires. Is he on FB all day? Certainly not. He’s actually out talking to people all day, comes home tired, and still finds time in the morning or evening to update.
In between, me and a few people do post polls, answer questions (with quotes if possible) and post videos, news items, etc.
What does he do on Twitter. Honestly, not much. That just pulls in his updates from FB. This is partly because there are like 6,000 fans on FB compared to like 300 on Twitter. It’s also because like three people on Twitter generate a barrage of negativity that’s made it a bit unfun.
However, he is updating the Facebook page, and no, neither I nor anyone else is ghostwriting for him. If something is by someone else it’s clearly labeled staff. He tends to update more in the mornings and evenings, if you’re checking.
Anyways, this stuff has more generally been posted as Page Guidelines on the page itself.
