Photo via the Denver Post. This is one of the less graphic
Just clocked in and my God, Mumbai has been hit by a terrorist attack. I know what it’s like, the news, the shock and then transport and communications choking in terror and fear. It truly is a media phenomenon and the blast spreads through the airwaves. The Wikipedia page is up and running and reactions are running real time on Twitter (#MumbaiBlasts). Also live TV via India Times. I pray that you and yours are well.
Best photos are via the Denver Post for some reason.
They’re saying 17 dead, 81 injured. My God.
Guardian is running good live blog, very graphic video, packed area Saturday night, what could this possibly accomplish?
So sad… some of the photos are absolutely horrific.
To think that this was the shit Sri Lanka went through on an almost weekly basis for so long. Thank god the LTTE was wiped out. I think many Sri Lankans have short memories.
Terrorists are such scum and their supporters are not any better.
You will overcome this India. The people of Sri Lanka are with you.
Almost weekly basis? The total number of LTTE bomb blasts aimed at (Sinhalese) civilian targets was less than 100, and that’s over 30ish years of war. The fact of the matter is, if you didn’t ride public transportation back and forth to work, the probability of getting caught to an LTTE bomb was almost 0 – definitely less than 1%, in any case.
phewwwwwwwww !!! what a relief…………
maybe a message from ALQ because Hilary is visiting Chennai soon???
Lets hope they find the fuckers who did this.
The vast majority of Sri Lankans catch public transport, only a small minority have their own vehicles.
I think this is the work of Pakistan, not the work of ordinary terrorists.
That country is in a mess, the state is dysfunctional and no in control of the military. The military is hand-in-glove with the Taliban. Pakistan was implicated in the previous attacks, the finger of suspicion naturally points that way.
The smoked salmon Quesadillas looks delicious!Salmon toasts is one of my favorite appetizers, I used to make these in my restaurant days on toasted pita triangles, although I didn’t use horseradish which is a fantastic idea!
