This was written while listening to Robert Gibbs statement on the Egypt situation. It’s a bit of a rant. This blog about how not say stupid stuff about Egypt is probably more interesting.
Fuck the US right now man. Their dictator friends suck, their diplomatic hedging is bullshit, and I think they’re causing a lot of the problems in the world. Suspend the aid to Mubarak, he’s beating up his own people. WTF. And Mubarak is using the same diplomatic hedging to peel away blame. It’s a big fucked up system, built on hypocrisy in the air while the reality is quite clear on the street.
These paid Mubarak thugs come out and they’re violent. And the US is just like, um, haw, and Israel is telling them to cool down, and America is telling Mubarak what to do, and people are getting killed and beat in the street. It’s fucking despicable. Fuck the US right now.
So, Mubarak and Obama feel free to call each other. That’s a fucking joke. They shouldn’t even be calling him President anymore. They’re talking about dialogue and conversations and Ambassadors and bullshit and the people in the street protested peacefully and are now getting beat. And the US is just talking bullshit and clearly meddling for ill behind the scenes.
Fucking A. The US and Israel are something I always took for granted, but I think they’re the problem now. And I think Obama is on top of a military industrial complex that he really has no power to change. He’s part of the system now, and the system is bad.
And why can’t these diplomats ever tell the fucking truth. They’re full of shit, which is why WikiLeaks was so good. This bullshit leads to people being oppressed, being tortured, jailed, killed. They’re sacrificing truth for stability and they just reap the whirlwind. It’s a fucking despicable joke. China is worse but at least they’re totally lying. America is like finding out your drinking buddy is actually a complete douchebag, watching as you get stabbed outside a pub.
Man, fuck this watching, waiting taking note of shit. It’s just wrong what’s going on. We are watching history being made and America’s on the wrong side of it. They’re on their side, they’re on the side of despotism, of violence, of lies, of bullshit, of nonsense. The Cairo speech was bullshit. He can say that but the state beast he is on top still bites and chews like it did before.
They’re not friends, people need to find their own values. They need to find their own truth, and for that they need and deserve information, they deserve the right to not get beat, and they need the right to be free.
I think the US is still supporting Mubarak and they need to crack down on him now. Before his thugs razor blade and kill people off the street. It’s a fucking joke. The whole system is fucked but you get older and you think that the system is becoming better, but you’re just becoming part of it. You’re becoming part of the bullshit, the lies, the deception, which is all born out of selfishness. Because the system becomes part of yourself.
But young generations must come up and define a self that doesn’t include this shit. That includes morality and justice and doing what’s right because it’s obvious, and doing it now. The thing started out good and now there’s just pile upon pile off bullshit. That’s the status quo I guess. The inertia of shit.
In non-rant mode, basically, the US won’t come out and do the right thing. The Egyptian people will have to fight off Mubarak’s thugs, as they fought of the looters. I pray they can. And the thing is, the Army checked everyone coming into the square for the peaceful protest, but not the pro-Mubarak people riding fucking camels and carrying knives. The Egyptian people are really quite alone, which would be terrifying, were they not so awesome.
