People don't choose to be homosexuals
People don't chose to be heterosexuals
People don't chose to be paedophiles

All three are sexual preferences. I wouldn't be surprised if incest were to be added to the list to be honest; some people may be honestly sexually attracted to blood relatives. I won't discount the nature vs nurture debate. The problem with paedophilia is that it involves underage children who cannot validly consent to the sexual act.

Interesting facts, but very scary.

Treating pedophiles to control or overcome their problems is good, and should happen, but will take time.
In the meantime, this country needs to educate potential victims and their caregivers on how to protect themselves. And, since it's already happening on a large scale, process the pending cases and give some relief to vicims of reported cases.

Events like this walk, are good to create awareness among people who can do something about it, and send a message to the authorities who are responsible for the delays in bringing offenders to book. And it's good that they have planned events in every district. But these efforts should finally reach the actual victims. I think poverty is the main reason for exposing children to danger here.
