Building A Better Newspaper
What do you like better, Newspaper B here (with comments, in this case dummy copied from this blog), or…
My friend Raisa is doing some research on what makes a better newspaper. Her broad question seems to be whether it’s better to have interactive elements in a newspaper (ie, polls, email addresses), which is kinda a duh, but it’s research. She came over to ask my advice once and I gave her a bath packet full of ants, so I guess I still owe her a favor. Which I’m mucking up by cynicizing it. I’ll start again.
Newspaper A, regular estyle.
Raisa Wickremetunge is a young journalista (that was a typo but I’m keeping it) and bon vivant. She is researching whether the old or new Daily Mirror is better, dammit, I can’t.
Raisa and I worked together at the Sunday Leader and she is and should be in a position to make newspapers better in the future. And she’s doing a degree with some research on interactivity in newspapers, so PLEASE GO TAKE THE SURVEY, which is the point of this post.
I’ve put some images of the two different designs she’s testing. You have to answer basically one question about the one you like, seven times over. I kid I kid, just go take the survey, it’ll take a minute and this girl can use the data to back up what I hope she’ll actually do later.
