The Power Of Napping
I try to meditate every day, a process which usually culminates in 10 minutes of ‘lying meditation’, AKA, sleeping the floor. I do this almost every day and I must say, it’s pretty great. And, some science shows, napping can be generally good for anyone, provided you nap for the right amount of time. The ideal nap time seems to be about 10 minutes, about what I do on the floor. Anything less than 30 minutes seems to be OK.
This is all via Sullivan of course. All I really have to contribute is that I nap most days, usually after lunch. If I nap in the morning it’s not very productive, but if I nap or meditate again in the afternoon it’s quite good. The worst sleep, of course, is when you’re waking up in the morning and go back to bed. That’s just deeply unsatisfying. An afternoon nap, however, does a body good, so long as you wake up before 30 minutes.

Naps rock. I thought it was just me…but less than 30 minutes?? Really?? Maybe that is why I always feel crap after my 3 to 5pm doze ;-)
