The Olympic Ceremony, And Watching The Games Online
UPDATE: I found the full ceremony on YouTube, you can watch it here.
I’m not much for ceremonies, but the bits I saw of the London Olympic Opening were quite impressive. Beautiful music, thoughtful spectacle and humor. For reference, you can watch some of the ceremony and some of the games on YouTube – youtube.com/olympic. I was told that I missed a lot by watching only the Industrial Revolution part (above), namely the changing of the giant set, but I liked what I saw.
The Queen and James Bond sequence is pretty priceless as well, though she looks a bit baffled at the end. Good sport though. Other than the text messaging bit I thought it was quite well done. Really enjoyed the whole industrial age thing right up until the rings were put together.

It was a brilliant bit of work. I watched the whole thing and did not get tired of it, except at the NBC injected ads. Boyle did a fantastic job!
