That’s because they are in this mess with India. The whole south Asia is in trouble when comes to electricity one way or another.

They may be overpopulated with caste system, gender issues, corruption and dirty but have set the basics right unlike us.

Hmmm. The satellite picture doesn’t seem right. I suspect some sort of Photoshop-esque job. If you look, Pakistan and Bangladesh are also blacked out, as are the southern states like Tamil Nadu. Yet those areas, supposedly, are not affected. The BBC has a map showing the regional power grids that were affected, and as you can see, that does not include the south, Pakistan or Bangladesh. So I wonder.

Vat vat?? Don’t be silly men…can’t be. We are being told India is the most awesomest country in the world, and its economy is going to be the most biggest in the world and that their political system is the most stable – what with the riots in assam, and the maoist insurgency, and the Kashmiri separatists and all, and that we silly backward, primitive, Sri Lankans should emulate that great country in every respect.
