The city centre desperately needs some massive government smashing. It is is just too congested and poorly planned at present. They need to smash and rebuild – this time properly. Too many people in Colombo live in houses or single storied dense shanties which IMO is not really feasible given the population density if people want to improve their quality of living. Colombo needs to build up.

I think they’re extending Marine Drive way way down, possible to Mount. I’ve even heard further. That should ease Mount Traffic a lot
