Great pictures. I hate that ugly clock tower and heartily wish someone would pull all of the silly Premadasa era clock towers down but the picture is very interesting.

Great shot, great composition: spires. That lamppost is the only annoyance there.

Indi, what's your experience of doing such "street photography" in Colombo? I can't count the number of times I've passed a great opportunity for a photo, but have been nervous to stop and start photographing. I don't even refer to clearly "asking-for-trouble" shots such as your photo of the cop! nor do I refer to any "risky" areas e.g., (harbor, Courts, army/navy places). No, i mean even simple shots that don't involve any people and that aren't in any risky areas. My hesitation is mainly the fact of how people in general, as well as any police/armed forces would likely tend to view any such photography with suspicion. (And i don't even have any press credentials).

I like the handle bars, Hells angels fall off may be! But I noticed that designers, builders never thought of cleaning or conducting repairs in a hurry when they built the clock tower! :)

When you're shooting cops? I thought that was the exclusive premise of arrested underworld members.

I LOVE that cop man. He's either part of Cinnamon Gardens, or Fort. He's someone all of us keep an eye out for, when we're shooting.
