Poor Fonseka, not only the UNP but even his unofficial campaign manager Mangala has abandoned him. Fonseka gambled with all his money and lost everything. It is true that Fonseka was a loose cannon, but I think the real issue is not about Fonseka, but about the structure of the UNP.
Now this man,Ranil, has been in the leadership for ages and if he has some dignity left he should resign and let Karu be appointed as an interim leader until they find a suitable leader. But the UNP is so undemocratic. This party only caters to a particular crowd in sri lanka.Instead,it should try to include all.

Of course they have. His use is waning everyday. (Political neophyte inspiring leader) ?. Perhaps UNP knew all along what was coming. What Fonseka did not realize was that these politicians have parties together, once the campaigning is over.
Today I took my dog for a walk. He was very confirming and heeded to my every command, while he was on leash. But once I let him off at the park, he became a mad dog, scaring other dogs (he is a big dog) and people, chasing birds which he could not ever catch. He was barking at the sea and trees forcing old ladies cover their ears with hands and in turn letting loose their tiny chihuahuas making a huge riot. Even though it was a big commotion, I let him roam and frolic for a while and of course put him back on the leash, to go back home.
While waking back, I wondered, was that the last election!? Cannot be! He is the best dog in the WWW. ;)
