Jaffna Eclipse Photos

Through the brain scan

I hope my eyeballs are OK. We got a tailor to cut up some old x-rays and looked at the solar eclipse through Graham’s brain scan. The sun became a crescent, then a ring. Then it started pulsing, or perhaps that was my retina. We were on a lagoon road, water on all sides. To see better we clambered on top of a bus stand. It was great fun, just watching the moon pass across the sun.

Cool.. I heard it was especially auspicious in India because of the Kumbh Mela… apparently the best spot to watch it was in the Maldives.

I saw the perfect photos of the eclipse, taken with special equipment by the Uni of moratuwa staff, from Kytes. Indi’s eclipse through the skull are way more interesting.
