Automating Back Of Bus Montages

In that back of bus sketch I just picked a bunch of cool stuff and tossed it together. Apparently one can (theoretically) automate this. There are some Chinese researchers who seem to be designing a system that takes a sketch of random stuff and turns it into a photo montage. For example, a cheetah chasing a guy on a motorbike across a desert. I would do this manually by searching for things tagged ‘cheetah’, ‘motorbiker’ and ‘desert’ on Flickr, manually cropping them out and combining in Photoshop. This Chinese/National Uni Singapore software apparently automates the process. I’m not sure if this is real, but it is cool. I have seen weirder things. I’m just not sure what the purpose is besides designing montages for the back of buses.

This is highly dubious. Miss Travel is a travel/social networking site that connects ‘Generous’ and ‘Attractive’ travelers. To, like, travel together, I guess. It all seems a bit like arranged prostitution and trafficking. This is part of a broader online trend to connect rich men to younger, attractive women. Sites like
