Green Path Open Mic
Prasad reading ‘Veysee’ by Shehan Karunatilaka, who just won the Graetien
OK, God willing, we’ll have one more Open Mic before Avurudu shuts down all activity in this country. This Wednesday, at Green Path in Colpetty. It’s a lovely house with a stage even. Should be cool, though we do have backup. As always, please bring poetry, prose, etc. This time was thinking I’d try something different and will project some photos for a little show and tell. There are things I’ve never published or can’t publish which might be of some interest outside of the permanent record of the Internet. But, anyways, it’s been good and should be good again.
Besides that Shehan Karunatilaka, who’s Veysee story was read out last time, has just won the Graetien Prize. I’ve been badgering him to contribute something, and he should. Then we’ll try to get Wagon Park to sing, and the usual poetry/prose subjects. And hopefully some new people. Anyone is welcome.
This’ll probably be the last one for April, which is basically a national holiday and we can restart in March. Dunno, perhaps in late April people will be functional again, but dunno.
But anyways, do check it out, this Wednesday at 8:30. We’ll try to start with something good and refreshments for those that show on time. Please join the Facebook Group for updates. Will post the exact location and how to get to that day. Suffice it to say it’s in Colpetty, near Liberty Plaza and not that hard to get to.

:(

But since then you guys have been having them EXACTLY on days that I’m leaving town or the country!
