I was so excited to hear about this. Hooray! It’s brilliant. The story was reported in Australia only because the security around India’s coach, an old Australian player, has been stepped up after the whole, bizarre Bob Woolmer business.

“but tonight Sri Lanka finally has something everyone here can be proud of” I think that may have been a bit of an exaggeration on the part of the Indians…this game was of much more consequence to the Indians than to us. I reckon our top order really needs to pick up their game to beat the South Africans and New Zealanders (and of course the Aussies)…very heartening to see Chamara Silva’s run off form though…and our bowling was bloody good with the novelty of actually having a pace attack…something that I never though I would see…fingers crossed…
