I didn’t say it. This was posted in the Library in reference to “Freedom of Speech” – how it has in effect been commodified and is not free, how access is limited by wealth. ie, my Cell-Phone and this TypePad Blogging service cost money. I dig what these Canadian Law Kids is saying. Further, if a corporation sues to try and gag you for violating their ‘intellectual property’ (ie RIAA) you can’t fight them just cause you don’t have the money to compete. I’d add that the legal system itself is based on wealth. What do you think bail is? You pay to get out of jail. If you’re poor you stay there, and you can’t really defend yourself. They’re either taking your money or your time (=money). Fuck that.
